Hush has announced the appointment of Philip Mountford as its new chair, effective immediately.
Mountford has over 40 years of retail experience, with an impressive track record in CEO positions both in the UK and internationally at Moss and Hunkemöller.
Sarah Miles, CEO of Hush, commented on Mountford's appointment:
I'm delighted to welcome Philip as Chairman of Hush. He brings extensive executive retail experience, both in the UK and internationally, having held incredible CEO roles throughout his stellar career. I, along with the rest of the leadership team, look forward to working closely with Philip to achieve Hush’s growth ambitions in our next chapter.
Mountford added:
I am excited to join Sarah and her team on this amazing brand journey. Hush has strong brand values and a distinctive point of difference, which will support its growth both physically and digitally as we move into the next stage of the brand's development. I am thrilled to be part of the team driving the long-term growth of the business.
Our co-founder and CEO, Paul Cocker also shared:
I am really pleased to be adding someone of Philip’s calibre and experience to both the Hush team, and the wider True network. It’s been a tough period for the apparel sector over the last couple of years but for those brands, like Hush, that continue to thrive there is an exciting opportunity ahead and I am sure Philip will help us capitalise on that, both in the UK and internationally.
In 2020, Hush became part of our portfolio when we acquired a majority stake after getting to know the company and its founders over several years. Since its founding in 2003 by Mandy Watkins, Hush has evolved into a global brand known for delivering effortless London style with a laid-back Antipodean influence.
