We acquired Ribble back in 2015, with many of us bike-mad here at True. Founded in 1897 in the cycling heartland of the Ribble Valley, Ribble sold the first "Safety Bike," setting the template for all modern bicycle designs. This innovative spirit continued in 2018, when they launched the world's lightest e-bike at just 10.8kg. Today, their Custom Colour technology offers cyclists over 400 million colour combinations for personalisation.

We are excited to announce that Ribble Cycles has partnered with the Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team for the 2025 season as its official bike sponsor. The Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team has been dominating the British Cycling scene, excelling in the British Road Series, Criterium Series and Tour Series. Now, equipped with Ribble's cutting-edge 2025 performance race bikes, they're more prepared than ever for the new season.

Sean Hastings, CEO of Ribble, puts it perfectly:

Supporting the British cycling scene and continuing our presence in women's elite racing really matters to everyone at Ribble. We're excited to partner with the Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team and help them achieve their huge potential in the upcoming season.

Rick Lister, Team Manager, adds:

Having Ribble Cycles as our bike sponsor is a game-changer for the team. Their bikes represent the perfect blend of performance and innovation, key elements that support riders in achieving their best. We’re excited to embark on this journey together.

This partnership embodies our commitment to backing innovative brands that drive positive change. By supporting women's cycling at the highest level, Ribble isn't just providing state-of-the-art bikes—they're helping to shape the future of sport.

We cannot wait to see what Ribble and the Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team will achieve together in 2025.
